The Golden Book of Facts and Figures

The Golden Book of Facts and Figures, The Golden Press, 1962. Illustrated by the fabulous Mr. Lowell Hess. I LOVE this book, it's a fantastic showcase of splendid 60's infographics from a master of mid-century illustration.

  1. Wow. I used to have that book. It was handed down to me by my much older sisters!

  2. As a child, I owned this book, which had so many beautiful illustrations. It was 20 years old already when it was first given to me by my cousin, but some of the info (such as mountain heights and river lengths) was still accurate. I loved The Golden Book of Facts and Figures, which I still have to this day. Thanks for sharing these scans with the world.

  3. As a child I read this book and used it as a reference along with the World Book Encyclopedias. I am now in my 60s and I have this book in my library.
